Privacy policy

How Simplerlivez collects, uses, stores, and protects information across our website and live apps Dietary Insight Cam and Routine-Buddie.

Effective date: September 18, 2026

1. Who we are

Simplerlivez is a technology company that builds digital products and provides innovation, collaboration, consulting, and training services. This Privacy Policy applies to the Simplerlivez website and our live apps, Dietary Insight Cam and Routine-Buddie. It also covers Smart Count as a planned product if and when it becomes available. In this policy, “we”, “us”, or “our” means Simplerlivez.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use our website or products, we may collect:

  • Contact information: your name, email address, company or institution, the subject of your enquiry, and anything you choose to include in a message.
  • Account and device information: account details, preferences, browser type, device information, approximate location, and technical logs when a product requires an account.
  • Dietary Insight Cam data: food scans, nutrition information, dietary preferences, and allergy or allergen information that you choose to enter or generate through the app.
  • Routine-Buddie data: routines, schedules, communication-board content, and information entered by carers, support workers, or the people they support.
  • Planned product data: if Smart Count launches, it may process inventory records, product details, counts, audit notes, images, and discrepancy information as described in an updated version of this policy.
  • Usage information: pages viewed, features used, approximate session times, and diagnostic information used to keep our services reliable and improve them.

We do not ask you to provide more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the relevant feature. Please do not enter highly sensitive information unless the product specifically requests it and you are comfortable doing so.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and improve our website, apps, and services;
  • respond to enquiries and provide consulting, collaboration, or training support;
  • operate and personalise Dietary Insight Cam, including food scanning and nutrition or allergen insights, and operate Routine-Buddie, including routines, schedules, and communication-board features;
  • provide the features you request, maintain continuity across your app activity, and support carers, support workers, and the people they support;
  • understand performance, diagnose problems, prevent misuse, and protect our users and systems;
  • send service-related messages and, where permitted, information about our products or services; and
  • meet legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights.

Dietary Insight Cam is intended to help people understand food information, not to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition. Its insights should not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Routine-Buddie and Smart Count similarly support decisions and workflows but do not guarantee a particular outcome.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for functionality, security, preferences, and anonymous or aggregated analytics. We may use analytics information to understand which pages and features are useful and to improve the experience.

For the website, we use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to personalise or measure those website ads, subject to their own policies and your available choices. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at Google’s partner-sites information. You can manage some advertising preferences through Google’s Ads Settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site functionality.

Our mobile apps may use Google AdMob to serve in-app advertising. AdMob may use the device’s advertising identifier and related device or usage information to deliver, personalise, or measure ads, subject to Google’s policies and the choices available on your device. This app advertising is separate from the Google AdSense advertising used on our website.

5. Storage and security

Information submitted through our website is stored using our hosting and application infrastructure. Dietary Insight Cam data and Routine-Buddie data may be stored in the app systems and databases needed to provide their features, and may be accessible to the account holder or organisation that manages the relevant account. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect food scans, nutrition and allergy information, routines, schedules, communication-board content, and other personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please use strong passwords where available and let us know promptly if you believe an account or message has been accessed improperly.

6. Third-party services and sharing

We may use trusted third-party providers for hosting, databases, analytics, advertising, email, authentication, cloud infrastructure, error monitoring, and payment or app functionality. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us and under their own terms and privacy policies. Our current website advertising provider is Google AdSense, while our mobile apps may use Google AdMob for in-app advertising.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when you ask us to, when it is necessary to provide a service, to protect users or our business, to comply with law or legal process, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of assets. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information. You may request access to or deletion of your Dietary Insight Cam data or Routine-Buddie data by emailing hello@simplerlivez.com. Please tell us which app and account or organisation the request relates to, and whether you are requesting access, correction, export, or deletion. For Routine-Buddie, a carer, support worker, organisation, or other account administrator may need to make the request on behalf of the person they support, where appropriate. You may also be able to object to or limit certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or ask us to stop sending marketing messages. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message or by contacting us.

To make a privacy request, email hello@simplerlivez.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may need to be retained to comply with law or resolve disputes. If you are in a jurisdiction with a supervisory authority, you may also have the right to contact that authority.

8. Children’s privacy

Our website and products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate. If a product is used in a care, education, or family setting, the responsible adult or organisation is responsible for deciding whether its use is appropriate and for providing any required permissions.

9. Data retention

We keep website information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, provide services, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. For Dietary Insight Cam and Routine-Buddie, we retain app data for as long as the relevant account or organisation needs the app, or until the user or an authorised account administrator requests deletion, unless a longer period is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the product. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it, or securely isolate it where deletion is not immediately possible.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, products, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Your continued use of a service after an update means the revised policy applies to your use going forward.

11. Contact us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests about this Privacy Policy or how Simplerlivez handles information, please contact us at hello@simplerlivez.com.
